We were on vacation for 1 week in Montelupo in April 2025 to make excursions to Florence and Pisa. The apartment here is located in a very quiet street not far from the center and has 1 large living room with kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom with toilet and another toilet with sink. The rooms are very tastefully furnished. Nothing is missing. We felt very comfortable. There is a small store in the street directly opposite the apartment where you can buy bread, cheese, ham, milk and other groceries. Very practical. And right next to the apartment is the very good Antica Osteria del Sole (pasta and pizza), where we ate twice. We traveled from Montelupo to Florence by train (30 min) and to Pisa, Siena and Livorno by car. None of the towns are more than an hour away and are easily accessible via the highways. The small town of San Gimignano, also known as the Manhattan of the Middle Ages, is highly recommended. A beautiful place and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unfortunately, you can't park in front of the house because the street is in one of those traffic-calmed zones where you are only allowed to drive in if you are authorized to do so (otherwise you could be fined). We parked the car about 100 meters from the apartment in Via Marconi, directly on the Pesa river, where it is even free of charge. We also have to mention the warm welcome from the host Clarissa, who was always available via WhatsApp. Thank you for that and of course for the delicious cake. We would love to come back.
